Approach
How I work
Evidence over opinion
Every recommendation is grounded in data, real-world outcomes, and 30+ years of proven patterns — not gut feel, and not shaped by what earns me a margin. That's the fundamental difference between independent advisory and a managed service or vendor relationship. When I recommend a direction, I can show you why — with comparable deployments, documented risk profiles, and realistic cost modelling. You're getting counsel that serves your outcome, not someone else's bottom line.
Clear trade-offs, not silver bullets
There is no perfect solution — and often, the right answer isn't a new technology at all. I lay out the options, the risks, the costs, and the operational reality of each path so you can make the right business decision for the outcome you're actually after. That includes being able to defend that decision to your leadership, your team, and everyone it impacts — with clarity and confidence.
Business language, not jargon
Before I offer any direction, I take the time to understand your business — how it operates, what drives it, and where the pressure points are. That means the conversation doesn't have to be technical. You may have read something or have a sense of what's needed — what matters is translating that into what you actually need to do. Technology is a business enabler, not a cost. I make the language work for your business, not for the industry.
Governance built in, not bolted on
Security, compliance, and scalability are part of the conversation from day one — not afterthoughts when something breaks. Governance isn't a layer added to satisfy an auditor — it's doing the right things because they're the right things to do. Operating within the right constraints is simply your right to operate. When it's built in from the start, it's not overhead. It's just how the work gets done.
